I woke up at 4 am. Damn time zones. Went back to sleep for a couple of hours and then went looking for a coffee shop.  Managed to walk past the only one I knew of and kept going- ended up near City Hall I think. Found some trees. They were cool.

Oh yeah! There is it.

Went to Little Griddle for breakfast, because it was the first place I found. I’m sure I looked like a food critic because I had my notebook out and was furiously writing this.

If anyone from Little Griddle actually sees this- the food was delicious! I was writing notes on the theme I want to code and things I should do today

Found the trolley and took it down to Pier 39.

Hope everyone is having a fun week. I’m in San Francisco for WordCamp San Fran, and took a day off to sightsee. The next few posts will be a visual diary of my adventures through this amazeballs city.

Good morning! Left for ATL at 6:30, naturally got to the Savannah airport at 5:50 and still had plenty of time to make it.

Still on the flight to ATL. And by “still” I obviously mean that we were nearly there once we got off the ground.

In the air to San Fran! We were crazy high up, and the plane was huge (Honestly the biggest plane I’ve been on).

Let me clarify some things here: I don’t know where people got the impression that I travel everywhere, but I honestly rarely leave the East Coast to move inland. This is my first trip to San Francisco and my first trip to the West Coast (crazy, right?)- My family usually sticks to the “colonial states”. In fact the first time that I was further west than Chicago was when I came to SCAD and went to CBI conferences.

Cool stuff on the ground. I think we were close to SFO at this point.

Brr it’s chilly! Got off a few MUNI stops early to walk down to Pier 38 and the Automattic offices. Folded a ton of shirts, signed up for some volunteer work (really don’t know how that one happened) and finally remembered to drink and eat (in that order.)

This weekend’s project (actually, tonight’s project) is going to be priming and repainting my new dresser.

I’ve been living out of plastic drawers- and boxes- for the last year, and I found this great retro looking dresser on Craigslist for $5.

This is the closet thing I could find... the one I purchased is white with no hardware.

I’m going to be keeping the outside white, but I’m going to paint the 6 shelves in different colors. I have this really nice flat grey, and I’m going to compliment that with sky blue, butter yellow and mint green.

I’m picking it up later today, and at that point I’ll decide on hardware. I’m thinking something like silver pull knobs…

Based off of their Drinkspiration Application, this catalog is a redo of a previous project.

This second edition provides a handy guide underneath each recipe to provide the consumer with the opportunity to know if they will need to garnish, have ice, shake, strain- and what type of glass they will need.

In addition it focuses on using color to promote the beautiful design of the bottles rather than recreating the design of the bottles as seen in the previous project.

Smartphone Applications can be used by anyone, young and old. These applications are an example of a wide target audience range with an effective solution.

ICE (In Case of Emergency) highlights a need to have a WiFi based emergency call provider (for youth who have iTouches) and solve the need to have items like an accident report on hand.
